Building your future in the heart of Europe

At the heights of Kruchten stands a spacious, renovated early 19th-century building with an 11-hectare woodland garden. Built on the edge of fields, this place combines the charm of the past with the picturesque surrounding nature. Dominating the valley, this tranquil retreat is just steps from the pastures, where history meets streamlined architecture and quality of life, without sacrificing proximity to amenities and shops.
The building is distinguished by two construction phases: the first part, the oldest, dates back to around 1830. In the 1980s, an expansion and reorganization of the barn completed the existing structure, adding open and bright spaces facing the south and east facades, adorned with large windows overlooking the garden and panoramic meadows.
Access to the residence and garden is via a paved path from the main southern façade, adorned with two ivy-covered gables in harmony with the surroundings.
The front door opens into a foyer with a small hall featuring original materials that create a warm atmosphere. Next comes the first staircase, a large kitchen with a dining area, and on the right, a hallway leads to the utility area, a second staircase, and a large hall with a wood-burning stove, the windows of which offer a verdant view of the garden.
Beyond the kitchen is a large bathroom with a toilet and laundry room. Opening a second door reveals a more intimate part of the garden—a courtyard shaded by ancient trees, inviting you to long evenings with friends or family.
On the ground floor are the bedrooms: a long corridor leads to 4 large bedrooms, 3 of which are between 20 and 22 m², and one slightly smaller, about 8 m², a shower room and an attic space of 52 m², which can be converted.
On the second floor, the attic includes a large room with a stunning window offering a unique view of the surrounding countryside, which is used as a recreation room and office. An adjoining room serves as a library. On the left side of the building is the attic and the old smoking room.
The garden includes a paved courtyard and a more natural space, organized into seating areas, with a chicken coop, greenhouse, barn, pond, and shady areas. A canopy on the north façade completes the ensemble.
The garden, a private area protected from prying eyes and noise, promotes peace and tranquility. This sanctuary will bring joy to nature and to families seeking quality of life and embracing the past. The interiors are designed with comfort in mind, and the visual connection between the interior and exterior adds to the charm.
